MHRA Regulatory Sandbox

The MHRA has launched a new regulatory sandbox for AI-enabled medical devices in London, in partnership with NHS England London and the London Health Innovation Networks.

Up to ten manufacturers will be selected to deploy their technologies in live clinical settings with London NHS providers under MHRA oversight.

The call is particularly interested in devices supporting:
→ preventative and proactive care, especially heart health
→ neighbourhood and community-based care
→ digital access to healthcare, including through the NHS App
→ improved patient outcomes and healthcare delivery in London

Applications are welcomed from manufacturers, London NHS providers and provider-manufacturer partnerships.

The call will remain open until ten devices have been selected, assessed and deployed.
